The Hunger Games returns to some form in this final film. Slightly reminiscent of the first film with some great action scenes in the capital the film manages to still falter with inconsistent and overly dark tones at times. The last film brings the franchise to a wrap with a satisfying end for the characters.
However, the film still lacks some of the action and with more horror elements and sadder moments feels too dark to be enjoyable. Despite these issues the cast remains great and the film is mostly loyal to the book.
Despite everything wrong with this film it is still enjoyable and the final touch ' is that real' although more effective in the books still hits high on the emotional notes. I will still watch this film many more times and it deserves that because despite my high criticism it is still a great film.
