The Friendship Game was good fun for me. It is a blend of a group of teen friends with science fiction/slasher after they find this strange object at a car boot sale which supposedly is a game.
We have the friends open the game up to start what turns into a hellish summer for them. At first we get a few denials from them that it's not really a game but as things start getting mysterious their friendships are truly tested.
List is her excellent self and she has good back by the remainder of her peers in Dylan Schombing and Kelcey Mawema in what is at times quite a horrific film that delivers well.
The Friendship Game isn't a complicated film and you will find the story familiar but the mystery, deaths and friendship chemistry within the acting group made it highly watchable whether you are a teen or not.
I'm surprised given its scariness that The Friendship Game wasn't released for Halloween but then the genre is slightly different. Late teens, and young adults should enjoy this. Be ready for a few jump scares too!
