Arguably the best underwater film of all time. Definitely in the top 5.
James Cameron is one of the bravest movie makers we have been privilege to enjoy his work, and after he pushed the boundaries with Terminator, he pushed it even further with some superb visual effects in this movie.
Many early movie watchers consider this movie to be a special effects milestone that really helped in the advancement of CGI in movie productions. This movie is a result of some serious hard work to bring about a movie with superb special effects.
However, I’d have to admit that for all it’s amazing special effects, the movie’s story line is not the most impressive you’d ever see. The plot began in an impressive fashion but I was disappointed with the way it ended.
While the actors were impressive enough to help the movie stay watchable, it eventually became boring for me, but I’d say I enjoyed it because of the special effects.
