Ticket to Paradise does just what it says on the tin... an hour or so of watching Gorege Clooney basically play himself, with Juila Roberts as his ex wife.
The story is an easy watch, with a few laughs to keep you entertained. Theres not much else to this film but a light hearted way to spend a couple hours.
Thank you for your thoughts Kitten!
On the whole I felt Ticket To Paradise to be a good, witty romantic comedy with no need for any vulgarity to give the audience a good giggle.
Bringing together George Clooney and Julia Roberts did bring its advantages but I did feel they were trying to out-act each other, or at the very least try to gain the most jokes, maybe I'm over-analysing but that's how it came across to me.
The funny bits in Ticket To Paradise were simple but the acting and more importantly the timing made them stand out, not easy in this day and age of cinema.
The photography was amazing with it being in Bali but then Clooney was never going to agree to filming a potential wedding in Slough was he? Scenery aside we have a nice story about their daughter wanting to marry the man of her dreams and Roberts and Clooney getting together to try and persuade her otherwise, with their wedding having failed twenty five years earlier.
Ticket To Paradise work. It will make you laugh and I would probably watch repeats in a few years without concerns. A good rom-com.
