This is the first time that I have watched Star Wars (I've seen the Family Guy versions before) but it is the first film I have seen and it was actually quite good (probably the reason people like Doctor Who.)
After watching this I am now encouraged to watch the newer versions of the franchise. They now have new characters in this film such as BB-8 and what I am guessing some of the original characters such as Princess Leia.
I think it has changed over the past when Star Wars first came in 1977. To put it in media terms Women were weaker than men and in posters most were presented in a sexist way but in this one women are equally as powerful as men. I think Princess Leia is now presented in a more fair way.
Overall it is a great film and I suggest that you should really try to watch this film.
This is perhaps the best Star Wars movie ever made, I may be wrong as this was the first ever Star War movie I have watched and I was absolutely delighted that I watched it.
Watching it with a crowd of excited Star Wars movie followers was also exciting and when the movie began to run, it was great to see people around me applauding and enjoying themselves throughout it’s run time.
For a movie that was hyped for close to a year, I feared that it may flop when it is eventually released, but after seeing it, I have to tell you with so much confidence that it was worth the hype and perhaps the Star Wars name itself.
This is also the first film by J.J. Abrams that I have watched and he has to be one of the world’s best movie makers for creating this masterpiece, I would not want to spoil the movie for you if you haven’t watched it yet, but I’d gladly recommend that you do.
