Fight choreography excellent, story not very good.

Some really good fights but the story was bull. As the guy Mitch says they were like power rangers. Whoever was in charge of the fighting gets big thumbs up from me although some fights at the start could have been longer. If there is another Shadow Master then leave the weird demon things out.

If you love your martial arts movies then you should really enjoy Shadow Master. It starts of mysteriously with our new hero being investigated for being in a building with 18+ dead bodies and no clue as to why there are dead. We go back in the past to discover he was a nights watchman for what is supposed to be a tough period, with kids going missing, possibly because of ghosts.

The fight scenes that we quickly get to watch are fantastic, there's a whole host of different fighting techniques, some you will recognise, others you might have to study. On top of the great choreography in Shadow Master we see plenty of bone breaking moves and a good selection of bad guys, all with their unique martial art styles.

The acting is fine and any flaws I have simply swept aside for Shadow Master given it's a full on action movie so it's not worth dwelling on. The story gets easier to hold onto the further in we go, and yes, we do witness a little PTSD from our protagonist.

With the police authorities not seeming to care about the kids going missing nor the distress of the parents, the nights watchman decides to investigate himself. We do keep skipping back to his police interview from the beginning which slows it down a bit but only a touch.

He soon discovers the reason for the missing children and more fighting ensues and he takes quite a kicking from someone I assume is wearing on of those masks used in the days of the plague.

Our Shadow Master awakes with super special skills given to him by what could be the four horseman but could be mistaken for some of the bad guys from Power Rangers. Once he has these new skills though, he goes on a spree to rid the city of as much evil as he can.

The flashback fighting scenes do have blurry edges for effect but I thought that took away from the quality, we also have to watch all fight scenes in the dark which is understandable but a shame.

Anyway, as previously mentioned, if you like martial arts movies then Shadow Master will need to feature high up on your watchlist over the next few days and weeks.
