Great sunday afternoon film with the kids
Fun packed and energetic, enjoyed this alot.
Free Guy (2021) can boast plenty of fun and playfulness, almost taking me back to my youthful days when everyone I knew wanted to be a superhero of some type in an Amiga 500+ game.
The storyline is witty and moves from one scene to another like smooth peanut butter being spread nicely over white toast. It will keep you entertained throughout and it's backed by beautiful work by Reynolds and English actress Jodie Comer. If you have not heard about her yet do check her out.
Free Guy will be available in the UK from the 13th August and I can only advise you to make sure you get a seat booked because if you've nothing current to look forward to then this Shawn Levy film will do, and have you smiling for a few days after at the least.
A cleverly created film that has hints of Jim Carrey's "Truman Show" mixed with the latest gaming style genre. It's not only fun and has slick action sequences, it will also appeal to the majority of both comedy, and action film fans.
Reynolds does very well too, being charming as the films main hero Guy but also another in-game character that I won't say more about. Kudos also has to go to Jodie Comer. The 'Killing Eve' actress keeps on with her impressive performance skills.
This is a definite 'must-watch' for all concerned and especially those of you that can visit your local cinemas.
