Aliens (1986)

Still no better sci-fi action film all these years later. Directors cut was spot on.

This sequel to Alien by James Cameron takes it up a notch and really proved that there could be a successful sequel to a very good movie. This movie does a great job of keeping the same scare, and horror that made the first installation such a joy to watch.

Cameron took a huge gamble and took the movie through a new direction with fresh twists, yet he still keeps the movie true to its qualities and preserved the reputation of the franchise.

This is probably the best combination of horror and pure action ever seen in a movie and I expect the next installation to follow the lead.

Better than Alien for me, superb watch and really long.
