This fifth Die Hard movie is the least entertaining I have watched and this could just be the death of the franchise except if a solid sequel to this is ever made.
The first movie in this series was made 25 years before this perhaps that was why the makers decided to use John McLane’s son who is now grown up as his comic sidekick. He was expected to play the role of Samuel Jackson in the third installment, he never came close to being that funny though.
This movie looks to be made out of a good script, but there are some cheap plot twists in it. One of such is when there is an explosion and both father and son were involve, however, they come out unscathed. There is also the shocking use of Chernobyl for setting yet we see no place where radiation poisoning is talked about.
