It was ok and worth a watch after all the hype around this movie but was a bit disappointed to be honest. Lots of action but seeing as black Adam is supposed to be one of the strongest super heroes his fights with Hawkman were surprisingly shit to say the least.

Thanks for your thoughts Kay2!

There was a lot of hype around Black Adam and i was really looking forward to this film. However, once you get passed the noise and dramatic fight scenes, the script is lacking and feels like a miss match of old films put together.

The cast in this film is a good mix, but it was a little tiresome watching Johnson parade around in a cape pouting.. having said that, the sound track is not to be missed but im sure there are going to be many more of these films if you did.

Black Adam has had its full share of hype. DC fans have been excited, Super Hero fans have been excited, as have fans of Dwayne Johnson. Strip away the hype and the excitement, watch the film, and leave it a day or two to digest what you have watched and you have yet another mediocre super hero action film which is a regurgitation of all the others.

There is a little mystery and backstory to Black Adam to begin with. Who is he? Why was he imprisoned? Which was the best part for me personally. After that, his freedom and appetite for revenge is standard script101 stuff. Add in a host of other super heroes to try and bring Black Adam down a peg and you have enough reason to pull out the green (or blue) screen to destroy as much of a city as possible and try to turn him into a good guy, something we have seen far too often.

I can see Black Adam entertaining masses with all the fights and special effects. Afterall, the reason these films are made is to entertain and make money and it did entertain me, just not to the levels that previous superhero films have because there is very little element of surprise.

Apart from one superhero who you will see briefly, which will open it up to discussion on the future of Justice League, what you have is an old Black Adam, being chased by others with little longevity and it's not a film that grips you like the introduction of heroes in the Marvel franchise.

I'm certain Black Adam will return, the box office will suggest it needs to return. Whether Warner Bros and DC have the guts to do the right thing will remain to be seen.
