All out action and based on real heroes. My kind of movie.
My type of film. Very realistic and highly entertaining.
This is the perfect war movie to me. I initially never knew about the story, but read more about it after watching this movie. I still cannot believe that this is a movie everything about it seem so real.
The enemies were so well coordinated that just when you think they have all been killed, they turn up again in their numbers.
It is also sad to see how the delay at the CIA building cost the ambassador his life. I also felt so bad that Glen and the other CIA agent lost their life. May their soul rest in peace.
If you haven’t seen this movie and really want to feel what it means to come under attack by your enemies in a foreign land, you have to see this film.
Do the US always make mistakes when it comes to War because most of the US war movies I have seen recently appear to be one's where the US make a mistake, and then miraculously and bravely get out of it. It's a handy film with good action sequences but I do wonder whether these movies would be best not to be made in the first place.
If you like tense "how do you get out of this situation" type films with plenty of machine guns then 13 hours might flick your switch. Forget the fact that Michael Bay is directing, it rarely matters who the director is when the film is based on true life and moreso to do with the budget.
13 Hours brings us to Benghazi as a protection unit however when the US Ambassador is killed whilst they try to rescue him all hell breaks loose meaning the six specialists have to make do with limited amunition, hoardes of cheesed off Libyans and a finale where you wonder how any soliders could have survived such an attack.
It's a long film at almost two and a half hours but tense enough to keep you intrigued. The action does build up slowly rather than chucking the viewer straight into things but enough mini moments to keep you watching.
