Full Metal Jacket (1987)

Stanley Kubrick is arguably one of the best movie makers that has ever graced Hollywood, and this movie shows just why he has legendary status in the movie industry.

The script is clever, and just like in so many of his movies he adds some dark comedy and these two elements combined well to differentiate this movie from your normal Vietnam movie.

In this movie Kubrick created some amazing characters as well as scenes that you’d see are not just your regular movie scenes. The storyline is also solid, and he adds some touch of greatness to the plot which would have otherwise been a normal one.

This is one of the most captivating war movies I have ever scene and I recommend that you watch it too, if you haven’t.
