This movie easily comes close to real life with its story line. The ACT-UP movement of the 1990s and the AIDS pandemic of that era are the main story here, and the movie makers did a good job of portraying the tensions of that period almost as if it was real.
There was so much desperation in that era due to the losses and this movie did capture that as well. In the end I was grateful to those who came before us to fight for the HIV medications that have saved several lives now.
In the end of the movie you would be left thinking about how important it was to live life to the fullest as you see that several people have lost their lives and are still losing their lives to this pandemic. A great movie to watch. Very emotional and very real.
