A musical version of A Christmas Carol by the great writer Charles Dickens.

I'm all for remaking certain classics so we grab the attention of younger viewers and educate them about the original work, and Spirited works, just.
Many already know the great tale A Christmas Carol, and Spirited adds a musical twist to the old Dickens novel which I think will be enjoyed more by women and children rather than the Dads amongst you.
Will Ferrell adds the laughs we expect as he portrays the "present" and Reynolds one could deem is more there for the eye candy. Both actors simply do their jobs, nothing more, nothing less. Spirited didn't help itself in changing the names of the more famous version which is disappointing but you do get to work out who's who from the Dickens novel very quickly.
I guess it works well as a Christmas singalong and with Spirited having been promoted through the teeth it will get its fair share of budget back at the cinemas and when it's released on that 'fruit company's' streaming service.
Being still a little early to Christmas I think Spirited will put you in the mood and it will have you laughing and remembering festive seasons gone by, but it is not one that I expect most will watch over and over again, regardless of how often it is shown every December moving forward.
