It's always good when we get a release just a day or so after a premiere. It's keeps up the interest, and gone are the days when only those voting for Oscar nominations get to watch something where the public don't get a look for months after.
With Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me it's a real behind the scenes look at her life, how she feels, what's going on inside her head and how she handles the fame she receives.
Selena certainly looks like she aims for nothing less than excellence, and it shows how upset she gets when she thinks she hasn't performed well, to the bemusement of her production team. In Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me we are also treated to a few clips of her meeting her fans one on one which is nice to see. It's a lot of work, or at least it appears to be a lot of work, especially as she practices to go on tour to numerous countries.
We have great home made footage where she is a youngster and she discusses her relationship with her cousin and then there's the breaking news about a charity she worked for which had serious accusations made against them.
Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me is a very in-depth documentary about who is now a young lady but I can't help feeling that when you look deep into her eyes on this documentary there is an unhappiness in her that doesn't want to come out. She has something she doesn't really want or like, and that is fame.
Hopefully Selena will fight her demons and come out on top. She needs to, and she wants to. As for the documentary itself, if you're a fan of the singing actress then this is a must watch.
