Saving Mr Banks is based on a true story. This tells the story of how Walt Disney persuaded the woman (P.L. Travers) who wrote Mary Poppins, to bring her idea to the big screen.
It was a bit funny but it was also distressing, (Spoilers) as the father of the author when she was younger died and the author did have a hard time.
The original Mary Poppins was used in the film towards the end and it was quite emotional as it links back to some of the memories of what the author did with her father before he passed on. I still love Mary Poppins but after watching this film I now think of some childhood memories of P.L. Travers.
Overall it is a good film but it is a bit emotional, especially towards the end.
