This being the final chapter for one of the most successful games-to-movies adaptations, many would be asking does it live up to the hype? I’d say it could have been better.
With just 48 hours to save the remaining 4,500 humans before they are killed by the Umbrella corporation, Alice does have to team up with a couple of individuals and even gets a surprise help from The Red Queen. However, this short period of time makes the movie just about a few intense scenes making us miss out on a lot more scenarios which the producers may have cut out for time sake.
Nevertheless, the movie is made an interesting watch by the number of times Alice comes close to getting destroyed herself. Each time she escapes by the skin of her teeth, the movie gets more thrilling. The weapons are also a lot more stylish than in the previous instalments.
