Old People starts with the story of a divorced woman estranged from her father but set to reunite over her sisters wedding.

However, as with most horrors takes a turn for the worst when the home he stays in has a strange twist.

The film has a few jump moments, followed by some of the famous gorey scenes we often see in horrors but didnt hit the mark for me. The characters done really jell together and the story goes off in the middle. Wasnt worth the screen time for me ?

Old People is a strange film. It starts off with grim horror when a nurse goes on a home visit to an old man then a quick story about what's happened. We then move on to the family trip (minus the husband who we see later) to a wedding.

First off they visit the mothers father at an old peoples home which is creepy enough but the real horror starts when who can be described as the old people's leader starts the spree off and they head to the wedding reception themselves.

Even dubbed in English (It's a German film) it works well. There are good splatter bits and some unnerving tension as the parents try to keep their children safe. The ending is quite fitting and sort of puts a twist on what could be a good future for the survivors.

Old People for me is a horror that is a good watch the first time but won't be re-watched.
