A good old musical and some decent acting in between. More of a girls night in than lads night out
Well the likes of Romeo and Juliet is in a class of their own, but this movie more than holds its own as the cast brilliantly try to act on a really good storyline.
This is loud, crazy, exciting and comes right in your face. This is just one of the best classic romance tales that you’d ever get to see.
While I consider this movie to be somewhat predictable, I still believe it is magical and the performances of Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor were very impressive, they are really a dynamic duo.
I can’t forget how beautiful the music were and they made me tear up in one part, I totally love this movie.
I must admit, I really like this movie. Ewan McGregor is brilliant, and Nicole Kidman is hilarious! It’s a great movie to watch with some mates at a party or sleepover, not so much something you would just sit down and watch alone. Left me and my friends in tears and laughing fits all at once. It can be a bit cringy at times and isn’t for everyone, but I really recommend giving it a chance.
The beginning may seem a little odd, but gradually the story gets more and more interesting with the crazy Jim Broadbent and the awesome musical numbers.
