Midnight Sun

Just like many other romantic dramas in the past, this movie follows a predictable storyline and while several others like “Me Before You”, and “A Walk to Remember” really bring some sunshine, the sun fails to shine in this one.

This movie comes out with less imagination than the others in this genre. You’d struggle to find any unique quality about it except the name of the disease one of the leading act has - Xeroderma pigmentosum (XP) and we definitely expected more.

Despite having a good pair of leading actors to work with, the movie makers still made a really predictable movie that doesn’t offer you any reason to want to see the next setpiece. It is hard to be convinced by the hasty story lines and most of the scenes feel orchestrated and too convenient to predict.

If you are ok with just a clichéd romantic movie, this may impress you but if you desire more unpredictability, this movie could leave you disappointed.
