Wow. I think I could bet a fair share of money that you will not have seen a film anything like this. Hello from Nowhere is like a musical walk in the forest, with four friends as part of two couples taking a trip with their camping gear and insistent on singing and dancing on their route.
There is one other guy who is mysterious at first and of course he's playing a harmonica as well as wearing a kilt to keep the melancholy going. The photography in Hello from Nowhere is amazing, I'm guessing America's North West but I could be wrong. The scenery of rivers, forests and animals in certain scenes does do it justice.
I think the acting is basic but that could be on purpose, it's more community hall drama but it works in essence with the film, especially as they burst into song, poetry and sonnets the second they get a chance.
Things take a turn though about 45 minutes in. We have two arguments and it really makes you wonder where it is going. It is definitely without doubt intriguing and you'd be wrong to think that Hello from Nowhere is just a high spirited waltz through the woods. It freely turns into a deceitful thriller but I won't say anymore about the plot.
If you want a film that probably has a genre all to itself, is weird and wacky with a smooth touch of darkness then Hello from Nowhere is something I would recommend to you. It's like nothing I have seen before.
