One of my favourite sci-fi's about. A good space travel story, a few mishaps on the way, arriving on a strange planet and then the final twist. This for me is what space films should be about. 5* for me easily.
This movie was made in a found footage format, and it comes off as one of the best ever made in that genre. It was produce in a similar style like The Blair Witch Project, they both focus more on sound, and power of the unseen, instead of the usual gore that most movies in this genres go by.
I like how much time is used to build rapport between the pilots as it eventually makes for an interesting relationship between them as they continue to tease each other. You can also see some reality when tragedies begins to strike them, as they are obviously felt.
To add some realistic touch, the producer also added real life footages from NASA, as a fan of documentaries, I really enjoyed that.
