Watched it because of the trailer. The trailer makes it look like its the best mystery in woods monster since Predator but its not. Awful monster and should have been much better.
Blackwood is a very low budget film and they string it out long enough for you to keep watching until the sheer disappointment hits when you see The Wndigo.
Acting was okay and it was great to hear some Native American but all in all Blackwood will be easy to forget.
Here's an accurate synopsis. A guy with a cloak goes around in the woods biting other guys in the neck.
Gee that was bad. The creature is a guy with a mask on. Very low budget and music is wrongly continuous.
Wth was that about? Not good movie.
It's alright, not sure why so many on here raving about it.

Blackwood reminds me of the original Predator movie except it's in the Western times and the budget is $10 and the "Predator" is George from the local bar in a mack.
It sounds crap when you hear about it and it is when you watch it.
