It is rare to see dark comedies being liked by so many people, add that to the fact that it is a Christmas flick and you would see how the odds of this movie being a success were stacked against it.

Yet, this movie still stands out as one of the most courageous attempts to deviate from the natural style holiday movies usually follows.

Admittedly, this movie was offensive as a dark comedy could be, but make no mistake, there are only a few films out there that can boast of being as heartwarming as this film is.

Everyone plays their roles to perfection especially Thornton, but the kid in it makes for a refreshing outlook as well. Do yourself a favour and watch this movie as soon as you can.
