"Inspired', by an actual event that took place in the late 1870's. Hatton has created the much anticipated prequel to Sleepy Hallow.
Whilst it has all the trapings of a dark horror, with the scenery and costume giving the effects of a ghoustly town, desperate to hide thier secrets. As a viewer, its hard to get drawn in even though plenty of jump moments and dark twists, it doesnt quite hit the mark.
Whilst you cant tell this was a low budget film, the link between the two films is noted throughout.. a little too much and makes a little bitty in parts.
However, its still worth screen time for the story and if already a fan you may enjoy..
