Vesper is an odd one. My film notes from yesterday has dystopian written just below the title, with some leaves and flowers dawdled around it. There are plenty of elements of order and it turns out the reason for the world they live in is the complete destruction of our ecosystem.
This brings with it new creatures and also a form of lab created humanoid. The effects are well thought out and astonishing but I did find myself drifting in and out, mostly as I tried to work things out. As you start to get closer to where it is heading everything does become clearer.
Vesper is a very good sci-fi which will need your undivided attention but it is worth the effort you put in. The cgi of the plant life is something to behold too.
