This is the second Studio Ghibli I have watched (The Cat Returns was the first).
This movie was beautiful and fantastic. I think this has to be one or arguably the best Studio Ghibli film.
A bamboo cutter (English voice played by James Caan) finds a special bamboo which has a tiny girl inside who grows up as a beautiful young woman. She soon commands her suitors to show their love by accomplishing a series of near-impossible challenges.
The English cast include the voices of Chloe Grace Mortez, James Caan, Mary Steenburgen (doing narration as well as one of the characters), Lucy Liu and many more.
James Caan and Mary Steenburgen were both in Elf so there is a similarity of some of the cast.
I think you are missing out if you haven’t seen this movie.
It is a brilliant movie and I think you should watch this film.
