Not the best horror movie I have ever watched but not the worst either. The CGI was decent and I'd take a guess that was where a good chunk of the budget went on.
The actors were decent too, it's not one of those poorly casted movies that you get when the acting just sounds like they are reading aloud with no energy.
Where The Possessed fails for me is the tension. There is a lack of it and it is so lacking that you could have it on during Thanksgiving and no one would think there was a horror movie on the tv apart from, yep, the CGI fx again.
I think giving The Possessed and director Chris Sun just 2 stars is maybe unfair. Don't get me wrong, it's watchable, I just think more tension would have made this a better movie.
