As a biography junkie the story of Howard Hughes was one that captivated me so it was natural that I wanted to see its adaptation. Leonardo Di Caprio is also one of my favourite actors so having him star as Hughes was the perfect blend for me.
Despite all the thrills, emotions, suspense and a solid array of characters, I must admit Howard Hughes’ life cannot be portrayed in a movie that lasts for less than three hours.
To be honest I’d suggest a series to fully relate the life a man who was larger than life itself. I did not particular enjoy the scenes of Hughes struggling with OCD
They did a good job of capturing some of the highs and lows of a career that spanned from aviation to film making as well as his many relationships with different women.
This movie may not be satisfying to me after being familiar with the story, but it is fascinating just as it is impressive.
