Running the Bases is your typical family drama with a hint of sport that has its basic plot with one or two sub plots. It goes on for ages which I didn't think was necessary and it explores the methods a father uses when he ups sticks to a new home.
Having his family with him means there are disagreements and the father misses his old home which is where he has lived his whole life.
Running the Bases starts as it means to go on. The pace of the movie is slow and as expected it doesn't gather much pace because it doesn't need to. What we end up with is a collective of good acting with a script that is designed to explore issues but in the nicest possible way.
Running the Bases is watchable if you have the time but one of those that you will find on TV most afternoons. Nice, but there are better around.
