The story of Liger, a MMA fighter who trains as hard as he can to get up the ranks and to be noticed by his MMA idol.

Was nondescript for me. Rags to riches fuel to add to the fire that for me went out quickly and never looked like starting again. I can see Liger turning into a multitude of films in a mini franchise that will nuke the wallets of the struggling by including other former fighters, maybe Tyson Fury, yet will never appease the real film fan.
Much better than I thought it would be, highly watchable.
Very, very good. I anticipated Liger to be one of those to kick-off a Kickboxer or Undisputed type franchise but this has so much to offer.
The story brings us into Liger's world, his troubles, his love, and the hard work he has to put in to get to where he want. It is not rushed which is great, but it's not drawn out either where you want to just skip to the action scenes. As Liger builds up the tension is at a good level as we start to see him fight and my anticipations are put to bed.
Liger is more Gladiator than Kickboxer and is a film I will look forward to watching again in the future.
