I used to love this film back in the 80's. Watching it again is maybe a little nostalgic but in all honesty it really sucks and it's not one I'll be looking for over Christmas when the tv listings come out.
There is nothing about this film that is bad. There is a good combination of scary as well as hilarious scenes and that makes everything fall into place just at the right time.
The actors did a great job, the special effect is awesome and the plot is a great one at that.
This movie is so lovable that my younger sister can’t get enough of it, and because we’re very close I have had to watch it a number of times as well. I loved Gizmo, because it is such a cute witch, and the use of so many puppet witches also impressed me a great deal.
Despite being over 30 years old, this movie is still in a class of it’s own.
