This is one of the best romantic movies I have seen, despite not being a huge fan of romance (except if mixed with comedies).
Jennifer Grey was brilliant in this film playing a caring girl who falls for a dancing coach.
Patrick Swayze was also good but has sadly passed away in 2009 (although I don't know him at all). He was good lifting Jennifer during "The time of my life" song towards the end of the film which I liked.
Overall it is a fantastic film and I recommend this a brilliant romantic film.
I have watched quite a number of romantic movies and used to think that Titanic was quite a romantic story, however, after watching Dirty Dancing, I have to admit that this is the best romantic film of all time.
Jennifer Grey was so good I had a crush on her instantly and I have watched this movie more than ten times just because I want to see her in action over and over again.
Swayze is the very definition of a stud and he can make any lady fall head over heels for him, the two of them coming together had so much chemistry that you can’t believe that they are not couples in real life. This movie is a masterpiece.
A modern day Romeo and Juliet film.
A young women on a vacation with her family meets the 'bad boy' entertainer. Love blossoms in secret until the secret is out. Juliet AKA 'Baby' is stopped from seeing her Romeo by her controlling father. However the pair continue to meet in secret.
Unlike the original love struck pair this film has a happy ending as 'Nobody put baby in the corner'
