Like many people, I grew up with the characters of Hundred Acre Wood. I’ve seen ‘Piglet’s Big Movie’ more times than I could count - probably not the best or most popular of Winnie the Pooh stories, but one that means a lot to me. These characters have a special place in my heart, and when I saw the first teaser trailer for this months ago, I knew that I would have to see it as soon as it reached cinemas.
I’m so happy with the way that this film has turned out. It’s heartwarming, touching and funny; bringing the beloved characters into the limelight once more. The story may be quite predictable, but I don’t mind. I was teary pretty much from the beginning, which advanced to full sobs at the end, and every time there was a soft hum of the ‘Winnie the Pooh’ tune in the background, my eyes started to fill with tears - basically, I was either crying, or smiling extremely widely for the entire thing. It was a charming journey full of nostalgia which I thoroughly enjoyed.
