Okay, I'll admit, I didn't really think that this movie was scary. However, the concept of the movie is terrifying. I was really excited to see that there were no zombies, vampires or cannibals in this film. The monsters in Bird Box are nothing like any other movie and that in itself makes the film stand out. Also, knowing more than the characters do about their environment (because they're often blindfolded) had me on the edge of my seat.
Holy crap!! I've colored my windows in already!
You really feel the tension in this one from start to finish and you are always hoping the protagonists get to their destination. It really is one of those tense films that also keeps you guessing. Kudos to Malkovich and Bullock too!
Nice to see a new idea that doesn't include zombies. The fact they can't see throughout most of the film does make it intense and the fact that this type of mass hysteria can happen and has happend in the past make the film even more scary and interesting.
Seriously scary stuff
