This film is surely (don’t call me Shirley) the epitome of classic, old fashioned, silly 80’s humour which would be completely forgotten about in our generation if it wasn’t for dad’s still referencing it today.
Packed full of clever- although sometimes slightly cringe-worthy- jokes told through spoken lines or through well-placed visuals, Airplane will sure to get laughs out of mostly everybody. Some, however, are definitely not PC enough for comedy films these days but that’s what makes this film so much more of a hidden gem we need to cherish.
Another great performance by the late Leslie Nielson, delivering every comedic line with a completely straight face, somehow making it even more hilarious! Although not as good as The Naked Gun, this is definitely a classic comedy film that we need more of in our modern, uptight society.
I really enjoyed this film. The characters are very funny. I think that the crew and the actors and actresses did a fantastic job. I recommend that you watch this.
