"A Savannah Haunting" is most assuredly an intellectual horror film. Even after the end credits rolled for the first time I found it had already become a part of me much like a real haunting. I have watched it a myriad of times since then and keep going back for more. Like a
radiant diamond "A Savannah Haunting" is multi faceted. Not unlike the events on which this film was based there are multiple layers which are constantly being revealed with every viewing.

On Halloween I had the honor of watching this film not once but four times consecutively. Overall it was a stylish and entertaining film. The writer/director took risks that were executed with class. The key players and the supporting roles (including the house itself and surrounding land) were all executed perfectly throughout the entire film. The subtlety of horror which takes place in the back ground during some scenes was a great gift to the genre itself. I really enjoyed this film and its twists and turns throughout. I look forward to watching this for a fifth and sixth time very soon.

Started to watch and was pretty good so going to stick it on again tonight.
Creepy, spine chilling, spooky, yes. Truth in it? Of course not, but A Savannah Haunting is one of the much better haunting type horrors out there, close to Insidious and to an extent Paranormal Activity.
It follows a familiar story. A couple lose a child, move to a new place and strange things begin to happen. A Savannah Haunting has the tension you want as the couple are slowly haunted bit by bit and things become more gripping as the film goes on.
Yes we have all seen films like A Savannah Haunting before however this is well made with actors doing fulfilling their roles and the direction gives you the "jump-scares" at the right time. With Halloween just around the corner you'll want to add this to your watchlist. It sets the tone well after getting back from trick or treating.
While A Savannah Haunting doesn't have that much originality it is a well made horror that will get your spine tingling and if you've a partner nearby you will be tightening the grip in their hand few times.
