Keeps you guessing which is unusual for any type of scary movie these days, definitely worth a watch!
The story is set in the late 70's, when beating kids with a belt and bullying with bear knuckle fights in school was acceptable. However, that's not the true horror of the film. That comes later on in the fim, when not only does the kidnapping of young boys form the baisis of a dark story, tje thriller that unfolds will keep you captivated, scared and thrilled to the end. Hawke and the young actors all put in a sterling performance.
Well I'm never answering a phone again 🙂
Scared the hell out of me.
Scary in parts. Good acting.
Worked very well indeed. Hawke does well as the antagonist. Black Phone makes you think at the right time, and jump at the right time. A very good horror which I give 4 stars.
As horrors go the black phone was pretty scary.
