You would have thought in 1990 when Total Recall came out we would be on Mars by 2022. No joy. Good movie though and a shame it's not something we can do up there.
Any film showing an alien woman with 3 boobs gets five stars from me 🙂
This is one of the best sci-fi action films you would ever see and the way the producers added dark humor makes it even more interesting. The movie in a way kinda feels like a successful hybrid and at other times you would feel the producers could do more.
It was never going to an easy job for Paul Verhoeven when he decided to take a story by Philip Dick and turn it into a movie, and he did make a good start trying pitch reality vs. illusion like when some of actors made holograms of themselves to trick the bad guys coming for them.
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s larger than life personality in action movies forces you to laugh at some point where another reaction would have been more appropriate.
Overall, this is an enjoyable movie, but it could have been made a lot better.
