If you are looking for one reason why you should never trust the critics, then read the reviews of this movie after watching it. This movie was heavily criticized that I was convinced that it wasn’t worth my time, but I am happy that I never listened.
This is one of the best old slasher movies out there. It is very creepy and intense, if this is your genre there is no way you wouldn’t enjoying watching this film.
At the beginning you’d be disappointed by how annoying the characters are, however, as soon as they realized that they had to be violent if they wanted to stand any chance of survival, the movie gets exciting.
This is a sequel to the 2008 ‘The Strangers’ and after ten years we’d be permitted to expect something really off the hook, but that’s not what this movie delivers.
The same killer trio returns to haunt and try to kill a family of four on a deserted park, however, this very moody horror film is way too slow paced and lacks that thrilling feeling that would keep you on the edge of your seat.
When the attackers chase down their victims in plain sight as they run around in circles, you can’t help but feel a movie like this should offer something more thrilling.
The movie producers did allow too many things to be out in the open and there should have been more terror when you watch people sneak up on others unsuspectingly. The real killer though is the slow pace of the movie.
