This is one hell of a movie. Looking back, I think the non-stop intensity may have been the reason I couldn’t even do any other thing until I finished watching it the first time, which is unusual.
I have seen this movie twice and never did I have a reason not to look at it for the third, I just haven’t had enough time yet. I thought the visual effects were superb and the storyline couldn’t have been better.
I normally don’t watch vampire movies, but I somehow managed to see Van Helsing twice. The thrills make it seem like a video game, which is great because most other producers would have preferred to waste time on explanations.
Their blend of making things serious so much so that you can care about what would happen next as well as making you see the funny side of things at almost the same time must have taken some creativity to achieve.
Despite having so many bad guys in it, this was a superb movie to watch.
