The Help is based on a bestseller of a book which I haven’t read but the movie version in my opinion was beautiful.
It tells the story of different but stand out women in the 1960s, who become unlikely friends over a secret writing project, which breaks the public’s laws and lands them into trouble.
The film is funny at times but like other dramas it can be emotional especially towards the end which I nearly cried.
Everyone in this film did an astounding job on the characters. The main cast were brilliant and the supportive cast were as well including Mary Steenburgen.
If you haven’t seen The Help I recommend that you do see it but it is not for younger audiences. If you have read the book I highly recommend.
Overall it is an excellent film and it is really worth the money to get it on DVD.
