Having watched this film twice this week, I can confirm that this Spider-Man film is one of Marvel’s best films.
It is a great film that everyone of all ages will enjoy and you don’t have to watch other Marvel films to understand the references except for Spider-Man.
It is one the best superhero films of 2018 (when the film was originally released) but I have to argue that Black Panther was briefly better but this one is better than some of the Marvel films I’ve watched. I now love Marvel and they do the best superhero movies and are also fun.
I think this was Stan Lee’s final appearance as he sadly died shortly before this film was released.
The animation in this film was astounding, it is like a live action Spider-Man film but in a cartoon version.
If you love Spider-Man Homecoming then I recommend that you see this film. If you haven’t seen this film already then you are missing out. It is a fun film for anyone whether you are a Marvel fan or not.
From the moment the opening credits began I knew that I was in for a treat, and ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ certainly didn’t disappoint.
I’m not a Marvel fan in the way that many people have come to be nowadays, yet I still found it to be a thoroughly enjoyable film. It feels modern while staying true to classic superhero stories, and introduces the audience to new characters who are lovable from the very beginning and only improve from there.
The animation (arguably the most important factor) is stunning, enabling the realism of New York to be blended perfectly with the more comic-esque styles. This is particularly evident in the last act, where the screen fills with neon colours and begins to look more like entrancing, eye-popping impressionist artwork. It’s a truly beautiful film in every sense of the word.
