Not for me. Jane Austin was a star but this isn't one of her best books by a long shot. Not sure any budget or cast can do anything to improve upon this one.

It's an incredible cast but the script doesn't do them any justice. This makes Persuasion a bit stop and start in a story that really doesn't offer anything new. I would think most people have seen an ex lover eight years later.
If you do fancy watching Persuasion then I suggest a cup of tea on the sofa as you may just end up napping 🙂
