Matilda (1996)

As a fan of the Roald Dahl books, I enjoyed this film which was adapted from the book.

This film was funny, enjoyable and exciting.

It is about a bright young girl who is annoyed with her parents (who don’t really care for her). However, she soon goes to school which is run by a horrible headmistress who hates children and she stops them from having fun.

The young girl soon becomes friends with her class teacher who is a caring and lovely teacher.

Mara Wilson is fantastic in this film and she is good in other films I’ve seen such as Mrs Doubtfire and Miracle on 34th Street.

It is a brilliant family movie and if you are a fan of the Roald Dahl books, you will love this film.
