I'm throwing my Alexa out and not using anything similar until it's as good as Deborah is! Seriously, the film is very good. It is cleverly set out from the start in a way that we learn about each character very quickly, we even have Deborah, which is a device much like the Alexa we use at home, introduce the characters. Deborah can also recognise peoples voices which does give the film an opportunity to cram in more jokes.

The film is based on a group of friends gathering around for a few days for drinks and fun when the hosts start showing off their "Deborah" device. They quickly discover that she can rewind time but rather that send you back to the past it simply skips you back like you were just there.

As our characters begin to judge one another, taking aim at each others dysfunctions it quickly becomes a thing to start rewinding what has been said and done aswell as pausing what is about to happen. Being paused though while someone else moves a vase away from your feet can and will after effects and side effects, as you will find out.

Much like when you get a new toy you want to play with it a lot. Give a group of six a toy and things quickly get out of hand, especially in this when everyone starts using Deborah and you begin to see them shake like an online game with a poor bandwidth connection.

There are numerous funny moments although that is counteracted by quite a bit of philosophy on modern life. We then get a little violence, something of a rarity given one can rewind time in this.

Deborah comes together neatly at the end as glitches and truths hit their inevitable dark side. It is an engrossing sci-fi which you will want to watch to the end, and who knows, maybe even rewind to watch again...

I found Deborah thoroughly enjoyable. For me it was a unique, original idea backed up with good dialogue between a big cast of "friends" that explores what one might rewind in life if given the opportunity.

It begins with what can be described as a normal dinner party amongst friends and what appears to be some form of Amazon's latest Alexa additions, except it can do one extra thing your standard Alexa model can't, rewind time. Oh, and this one is called Deborah.

Once the other guests discover it has the rewind tool it's basically open season to use it as and when you need to go back a little. Great for arguments, dropping wine on the carpet, or maybe you've boiled your egg five minutes longer than you should have. Anyway, comedy follows as each guest looks to use it to their advantage until an agreement is made that they no longer use it.

Deborah gives you ideas on what you might do, and what you might not, and it has enough characters to keep it interesting and packed enough that you may just find yourself in there somewhere.

If you're after something completely different to watch then I can't recommend Deborah enough.
