Disney does not get more classic than this timeless production of Aladdin. With moments of enchantment, hilarity and typical princess romances, it is without a doubt that Aladdin delivers a terrific musical animation. This rags-to-riches tale includes iconic musical numbers such as 'Friend Like Me' and 'A Whole New World, both of which were presented with exuberant scenes and exceptional colour work, which add to the magic of this epic. Aladdin also excelled in having a cast of talented voice actors, especially the wondrous works of Robin Williams, portraying the beloved Genie. The fabulous pizzaz and euphoria were effortlessly characterized in this role by Robin William's unique pre-eminence. Aladdin is a movie for everybody- no matter what your views are on fairytales or true love. It was also pleasantly refreshing to have such a strong, independent female princess who knows she is not a 'prize to be won', giving young girls the right views about self-worth and women empowerment. Having this set in an Arab country also helps with the issue of underrepresentation in the media.
