This is one of greatest works of Hitchcock and personally, it exposed me to him first as a great director, I have gone on to deliberately watch several of his other works inspired by this masterpiece.
Hitchcock needed to bring out the dark side of James Stewart for this movie to really stand out, and he did it with aplomb here. In this movie he proved that he can get the best out of almost any actor.
Grace Kelly was even more beautiful than she had been in any of her other movies that I have watched. I also enjoyed every single scene that Thelma Ritter appeared in as her charm stole the show effortlessly all the time.
