I didn’t see this film when it was in the cinema, but I got the DVD and it was actually better than I thought because at first I thought it was dull but it turns out while watching this I was wrong.

It focuses on LGBT issues as the main character in this film is gay.

It is based on a novel Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda which I haven’t read yet but I think I might give it a try after watching this film.

Everyone deserves a great love story, but Simon finds it difficult as he hasn’t told his friends and family that he is gay and he hasn’t met the person who he fell in love with online.

It is one of the best movies of 2018 I’ve seen and I don’t have a favourite 2018 movie at the moment because the films I have seen that were released in 2018 were all good in my opinion.

I haven’t got anything else to say but I have two things to say, one you have to see this film and two it is really worth getting the DVD.

“Love, Simon” was a pivotal movement for cinema since it is one of the first films with a gay protagonist and storyline on mainstream cinemas as developed by a major Hollywood studio. As well as being cinematically significant, the story was heart-warming and gripping, making it a definite film to watch!

“Love, Simon” is an American teen romance film based on the 2015 novel “Simon vs the Homo Sapeins Agenda” – perhaps not quite as catchy as a film title – and follows Simon Spier who has a great family and friends, but one huge secret: he’s gay. Here, the story could perhaps sound a little formulaic and predictable which I was afraid of before seeing it, but they present it in a really modern and original way which I don’t think is at all as conventional as it perhaps sounds.

Simon has to balance the general difficulties of his college days with blackmail and attempting to discover the identity of the anonymous classmate who he has fallen in love with online.

The film and characters are charming with the whole film being fulfilling, insightful and tender. I think there is truly something special about the storytelling and the feel of this film makes it one of my favourite of 2018. There is a wonderful combination of humour and heartbreak that contributes to this film being an overwhelming success.

This film feels completely natural, charming and a total crowd-pleaser that I would certainly encourage anyone to watch. You’re missing out if you haven’t seen “Love, Simon.”

Having just watched this for a second time, I can confirm that ‘Love, Simon’ is my favourite film of 2018 so far. This film has so much heart. It feels like a warm hug, yet is refreshing in almost every aspect - from the obvious (gay teen romance) to smaller details, such as the fact that this is a teen film where the main character actually likes his family. That is a surprising rarity in cinema.

The importance of this story has been widely spoken about, and I feel that it is not my place to tap into it any more, but I too appreciate everything that this lovely film offers and felt every beat of it.

The story unfolds so naturally and beautifully that by the end, I could practically feel everybody I was watching it with smiling with me. It’s a great experience, and a great film. Don’t dismiss it.
